Job Description: Provide a safe, healthy, and loving environment for children ages 0-2 years while working under the direction of the Children’s Director and the Pastor.
 

General Qualifications

• Demonstrate a basic love for children

• Help provide and maintain a Christian environment in which the children may grow physically, emotionally, mentally, socially and spiritually.

• Have the ability and experience to promote the safety and wellbeing of children in a group setting.

• Be in good health, able to bend, stoop, lift and physically take care of children.

• Be at least 18 years of age.

• Supervise volunteer helpers.

Essential Duties:

• Abide by all Safe Sanctuary policies of the local United Methodist Church

• Greet each child when dropped off by parent(s)/guardians.

• Arrive on time to the nursery at least 15 minutes prior to the services for which they are scheduled.

• Clean & disinfect toys each Sunday after children have left.

• Paid Nursery workers are expected to work holidays that fall on Sunday and may be asked to work additional hours during busy times.

3-10 hours each week at $15 an hour. There will be a six-month probationary period where either party may with two weeks-notice, terminate employment without cause. Background check required.
